CANTON, MS—This holiday season, Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant provided 100 Thanksgiving food boxes to Madison Countians Allied Against Poverty (MadCAAP) and donated a TITAN truck to enhance the nonprofit’s outreach programs. MadCAAP serves 2,800 low-income families in Madison County through food assistance, education, housing repairs, and community initiatives.
Victor Taylor, Nissan Canton’s VP of manufacturing, emphasized the company’s mission to build stronger communities alongside quality vehicles, while MadCAAP Executive Director Karen Robison expressed gratitude for Nissan’s ongoing support. The TITAN truck donation will aid MadCAAP in delivering food, maintaining their community garden, and executing housing repair projects, furthering their impact on local families.
About the plant: The Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant, established in 2003, marked the beginning of automotive production in Mississippi and has since become a vital contributor to the state’s economy. With a workforce of 5,000 employees and over five million vehicles produced, the $4 billion facility currently assembles the Nissan Altima and Frontier and plays a crucial role in Nissan’s $14 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing.
