Cemex is supplying Vertua® Supremo cement for the construction of TM Tower, a residential skyscraper under development in Benidorm, Spain, that is expected to become one of the tallest residential buildings in Europe.
At more than 200 meters high and 64 floors, TM Tower will include 260 residences, common areas, and wellness spaces. Construction is expected to be completed in 2028. Cemex is supplying cement for the tower’s structure and foundation. The lower-carbon cement is designed to combine strength, durability, and improved resource efficiency, while supporting performance in coastal conditions near the sea.
Compared with conventional cement, Vertua Supremo may reduce CO2 emissions by up to 55%. For TM Tower, its use is estimated to have the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 38% compared with cement products of equivalent characteristics available in the same market.
The supply is being carried out through Arenas Forna, a strategic partner in the execution of the project, which is being developed by TM Grupo Inmobiliario.
