Hua Hin Airport in Thailand is set to begin international operations by April 2026, following significant upgrades by the Transport Ministry.
Currently serving over 75,000 passengers annually on domestic routes, mainly through Thai AirAsia, the airport will undergo runway expansion, terminal improvements, and advanced navigation system installations to accommodate larger aircraft and increased passenger demand.
Additionally, there are plans to enhance the road tunnel, runway strip, and safety areas, requiring an investment of around 300 million baht, pending Budget Bureau approval.
Construction is expected to begin in January 2025 and finish by April 2026.
Currently, the airport handles domestic flights with Thai AirAsia operating the Chiang Mai–Hua Hin route four times a week.
