Scheduled to open in 2028, the $1.5 billion facility will feature 16 gates for domestic and international flights, cutting-edge technology, glass boarding bridges, expanded shopping and dining options, and two airline lounges. The project aims to accommodate up to 35 million passengers annually by 2037, compared to the current 25 million.
The terminal, spanning 600,000 square feet, will prioritize passenger experience and offer opportunities for small and disadvantaged businesses. Design work, led by Hensel Phelps, HNTB Corporation, and Gensler, will be finalized by late 2025. Construction work, enabled by a $91-million preparatory contract, has already begun.
