Petrobras Reports On Discovery In BĂșzios Field
NS ENERGY
Petrobras Reports On Discovery In BĂșzios FieldPetrobras reports that it has confirmed the presence of oil after drilling well 9-BUZ-99D-RJS, located in the western region of the BĂșzios field. This is a new accumulation in a zone below the main reservoir. The well is located 189 km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro and was drilled at a water depth of 1,940 meters. Tests carried out at a depth of 5,600 meters confirmed the presence of oil reservoirs through electrical profiles, which will later be characterized through laboratory analysis. The discovery reaffirms the pre-salt potential in the BĂșzios field. The BĂșzios Shared Deposit Consortium, formed by Petrobras as operator (88.98% stake), in partnership with CNOOC (7.34%) and CNPC (3.67%), with PrĂ©-Sal PetrĂłleo SA (PPSA) as manager, will continue analyzing the results to continue activities in the area. Cnooc Brings On-Stream Bozhong 26-6 Oilfield Development Project
NS ENERGY
Cnooc Brings On-Stream Bozhong 26-6 Oilfield Development ProjectCNOOC Limited (the “Company”, SEHK: 00883 (HKD Counter) and 80883 (RMB Counter), SSE: 600938) announces that Bozhong 26-6 Oilfield Development Project (Phase I) has commenced production. The project is located in central Bohai Bay, with an average water depth of approximately 20 meters. The main production facilities include a new central processing platform and an unmanned wellhead platform. A total of 33 development wells are planned to be commissioned, including 22 production wells, 10 gas injection wells and 1 water source well. The project is expected to achieve a peak production of approximately 22,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2025. The oil property is light crude. Bozhong 26-6 Oilfield is the world’s largest metamorphic buried hill oilfield with cumulative proven oil and gas in-place of over 200 million cubic meters. Benefiting from the application of standardized engineering, it took only three years from the discovery of the oilfield to production, realizing the rapid conversion of reserves to production. As one of the demonstration CCUS projects of the Company in Bohai, it adopts advanced technology to capture and separate the associated carbon dioxide from crude oil extraction and reinject back into the formation to drive the oil, thereby increasing production while reducing emissions. The project is expected to bury approximately 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide throughout its life cycle. Mr. Yan Hongtao, the President of CNOOC Limited, said, “The successful commencement of production of Bozhong 26-6 Oilfield Development Project (Phase I) marks a new stage for the Company in the development of offshore deep play complicated buried hill oil and gas reservoirs as well as the construction of the Bohai CCUS base. It bolsters the Company’s energy supply capacity and low-carbon development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Bohai Rim regions.” CNOOC Limited holds 100% interest in this project and is the operator. NS ENERGY
"L&T Lands Onshore Gas Pipeline Project In The Middle East"Larsen & Toubro (L&T), operating through its Hydrocarbon vertical known as L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH), has successfully secured a significant onshore gas pipeline project from a client based in the Middle East. The project's scope of work encompasses the engineering, procurement, and construction of two new 56” pipelines, along with the installation of associated scraper receivers and launchers, as well as main line isolation valve (MLIV) Stations. These pipelines are designed to run parallel to the existing pipeline corridor, thereby bolstering the region's infrastructure for efficient gas transportation. Subramanian Sarma, Whole-time Director & Senior Executive Vice President (Energy) at L&T, expressed enthusiasm regarding the project, stating, "This is the largest cross-country pipeline EPC project awarded to us till date, and we are excited to bring our expertise to this strategic project." L&T's Hydrocarbon vertical, LTEH, encompasses various business groups, including Offshore, Onshore EPC, Modular Fabrication, Advanced Value Engineering & Technology (AdVENT), and Offshore Wind Farm. It specializes in offering end-to-end solutions across the hydrocarbon sector, from design to construction. HBL
