electricalThe world is entering a new energy era. Electrification is accelerating. Industries are transforming. And AI – intelligent, disruptive, and immensely power – hungry is redefining what nations must prepare for.
By 2030, AI is projected to drive 10% of global electricity demand growth, with data centres alone consuming an estimated 945 TWh of power —equivalent to the annual electricity needs of a major nation. McKinsey forecasts 156 GW of AI data centre capacity by 2030, much of it coming online in the next five years.
In this defining moment, Hitachi Energy supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, is hosting AI and Electric Energy: Complementing for a Sustainable and Resilient Future; an official pre-event to the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
The event will convene industry leaders, policy makers, and technology pioneers to explore India’s opportunity and responsibility to build a secure, scalable, and sustainable energy foundation for the AI age.
