In a move to bolster the secondhand glass industry market, Uniglass, part of the Glaston Group, and GlassBaltic have partnered to launch a new initiative called
.
GlassBaltic is a Lithuanian-based international company, established in 2017, specializing in buying, selling, servicing and relocating used glass processing and insulating glass machinery. Uniglass is an online portal by Glaston launched to make buying industrial glass processing equipment easier.
According to Uniglass officials, the ReLife initiative helps companies shed unneeded glass machines to free space or invest in new upgrades. They explain that the program offers three main benefits:
“The process begins with a simple online request, and we take it from there,” state officials. “All you need to do is upload your existing machine details in the Uniglass configurator to request an estimate. Our team will then review the information and follow up with the valuation. Reselling unused equipment not only frees up financial value, but also productive floor space that can be used for new technology or additional capacity.”
Once a machine is uploaded, GlassBaltic refurbishes, maintains and finds the best home for the machine where there is new demand. Uniglass and GlassBaltic handle the entire process end-to-end, from valuation to refurbishment, relocation and installation.
“They bring [machines] back to life for someone else, sometimes even halfway across the world,” say officials. “What’s old for your business can be a lifeline for someone else.”
