The contract was awarded to MCO 1 BV with subcontractors Sentinel Offshore Vessels Limited, Cyan Sentinel Limited and Sentinel Marine Netherlands, and will see the company continue to support operations of the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA).

Under the contract the emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs) Ocean Guardian, Ocean Protector, and Ocean Sentinel will continue to support EFCA’s operations in the North Sea, Baltic, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Western Waters, and international and regional fisheries management regions.

The vessels remain the only seaborne patrol assets directly coordinated by an EU agency, playing a vital role in fisheries control, maritime surveillance, search and rescue, and pollution response activities.

Cyan Sentinel said the contract reflects the flexibility and advantages of the design of its 62-m ERRVs, which combine operational reliability, dynamic positioning capability, fuel-efficient performance, advanced communications systems, and high standards of onboard accommodation.

“Their versatility enables them to undertake a wide range of missions while meeting demanding operational and environmental requirements,” said the company.

The company said the award also reflects “our proven track record, skilled crews, strong safety culture, environmental stewardship, and consistent delivery of high-quality maritime services,” reinforcing the company’s growing role supporting government and regulatory agencies with complex offshore missions across Europe.
