PTC India Limited has entered a joint venture (JV) agreement with NLC India Renewables Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India Limited. The proposed JV will be established for domestic operations, with an equity structure of 74 per cent held by NLC India Renewables Limited and 26 per cent by PTC India Limited. The consideration will be in the form of subscription to shares of the JV company to be incorporated, in line with the agreed shareholding ratio.
The JV will collaboratively explore and develop green energy projects of up to 2,000 MW across India in a phased manner. The scope includes, but is not limited to, solar, wind, hydro, and battery energy storage systems. This will be subject to conditions specified in the joint venture agreement and requisite statutory approvals.
Furthermore, the collaboration will support the expansion of renewable energy assets while strengthening associated activities such as power trading, consultancy, and advisory services. The initiative is aimed at achieving long-term sustainability and supporting a green growth trajectory, in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
