The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has invited bids to procure power from 1,000 MW solar projects. The projects will have capacities ranging between 1 MW and 5 MW and can be located anywhere in Punjab.
According to tender guidelines, the scope of work covers the identification, purchase, or leasing of land. It also covers fully establishing the solar project, including associated plant and machinery, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, bays, and dedicated transmission lines up to the delivery point. Only modules from the approved list of modules and manufacturers are to be used in the project.
The bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 400,000 per MW. The successful bidders are required to provide a performance guarantee of Rs 1 million per MW. Furthermore, the successful bidders will also ink 25-year power purchase agreements. The bid submission deadline is April 01, 2026.
Earlier in December 2025, PSPCL floated a tender for the procurement of power from 500 MW of solar projects located anywhere in Punjab.
