Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy Limited (SGEL), has commenced work to develop a 4 GW solar PV module manufacturing facility in Odisha. The facility will be set up on 57 acres of land sub-leased from Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited, located at the Gopalpur industrial park in Ganjam district.
The facility is part of an integrated expansion plan that includes a 4.8 GW solar cell manufacturing unit and a 4 GW module line. The cell manufacturing facility is scheduled to become operational by the end of financial year 2026-2027, while the module line is expected to be ready by the end of financial year 2025-2026.
Additionally, SGEL is in the process of augmenting its existing module manufacturing capacity by 1 GW at its manufacturing facilities in Ambala in Haryana, expected to be operational by the first quarter of the financial year 2025-2026. With these additions, the company’s total manufacturing capacity is projected to reach 4.8 GW for cells, and 8.8 GW for both integrated cell and module manufacturing across the facilities in Ambala and Odisha.
