The State Government had sought approval for projects totalling Rs 5.93 billion, while the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways cleared works amounting to Rs 6.11 bn. Major projects approved include the Ningcho-Langpia road in East Kameng, Latsum Pate-Namorah road in Pakke Kessang, Hara Happa to Upper Nyorch road in Papum Pare and the Gengi to Subansiri Ferry Ghat road in Lower Siang. Other significant schemes cover Mirem to Resing in East Siang and an MV road near the Assam Rifles camp to Miao Singpho village in Changlang.

The package also encompasses Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana point to Pongchau via Kaila Komnu and Longwo in Longding, an internal village road from Ngonthong to Kolagaon in Tirap and the Bizari to Ngopok road in Lower Dibang Valley. Further approvals include the Kamlai-Laptang internal village road and the Dadam CO Headquarters-Longkai road in Tirap, NH-13 links in Kamle and Papum Pare, and the Thembang to Lachang road in West Kameng. Improvements to NH-513 sections and other internal connectivity projects are part of the sanctioned list.

Officials expect the investment to strengthen access to remote and border areas, facilitate movement of people and goods and support local economic activity through improved road infrastructure. The projects are intended to link district centres, market towns and border villages, thereby reducing travel times and enhancing logistical connectivity. Work schedules and implementation modalities will be coordinated between the ministry and state authorities to expedite delivery. The approvals are presented as a strategic boost to the State's development plans.
