The Haryana government has approved the long-awaited Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway, an Economic Times report confirmed on March 22.

Part of a broader effort to enhance expressway infrastructure and road connectivity in the region, the FNG Expressway aims to improve travel between Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad, easing congestion and driving economic growth.

Originally proposed by the Noida Authority nearly two decades ago, construction had only progressed in Uttar Pradesh, while Haryana had delayed its approval, until now.

As part of the project, a 600-meter bridge over the Yamuna near Lalpur village is planned, with the financial burden split equally between the Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments. This initiative will provide the first direct road link between Faridabad and Uttar Pradesh, eliminating the need for commuters to take longer routes via Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj.

Currently, over 100,000 people travel daily between Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad for work and personal needs. The approval of the FNG Expressway, along with sanctioned plans and maps, marks a crucial step toward simplifying their daily commute.
