Oslo-listed roro and logistics group Wallenius Wilhelmsen has renewed a shipping contract with a global automotive distributor, locking in an estimated net freight value of about $190m.
The deal runs for two years firm and includes a one-year mutual extension option. It also features a fixed surcharge covering multi-fuel use, reflecting the company’s growing focus on flexible fuel solutions across its fleet.
The latest renewal follows a string of contract wins and extensions for the car carrier specialist.
In January, Wallenius Wilhelmsen signed a one-year shipping contract with a major Asian vehicle and heavy equipment manufacturer, a deal expected to generate around $130m in revenue based on agreed volumes.
In December, the company secured a five-year extension valued at about $150m with a long-standing European heavy equipment customer under its supply chain solutions arm. It has also extended two further shipping contracts with a combined estimated value close to $500m. One agreement with a premium European carmaker was prolonged by three years through to 2030, while another with a European heavy equipment manufacturer was extended by two years to 2028.
