Penrith’s new stadium has secured its inaugural naming rights partner, with the venue set to be known as Helloworld Stadium when it opens in 2027.

Travel company Helloworld Travel has signed a five-year agreement to become the naming rights partner for the new 25,000-seat venue currently under construction in western Sydney. The partnership marks the company’s first major sporting venue sponsorship.

The new Helloworld Stadium is being built on the site of the former Penrith Park and will become the home of the Penrith Panthers once completed. In addition to NRL matches, the venue is expected to host concerts and other major sporting and entertainment events throughout the year.

Designed as a modern, fan-focused venue, the stadium will feature steeper grandstands to bring spectators closer to the action, upgraded video boards and sound systems, expanded food and beverage offerings, additional amenities and improved safety and security facilities.

The redevelopment will also retain the venue’s traditional grass hills while introducing four gender-neutral change rooms to support both men’s and women’s sport.

In sports mode the stadium will seat around 25,000 spectators, with capacity increasing to approximately 30,000 for concerts and large-scale entertainment events.

The redevelopment forms part of the NSW Government’s broader investment in western Sydney infrastructure and is expected to create around 500 jobs during construction. Once operational, the venue is projected to support more than 650 ongoing jobs while boosting tourism and economic activity across the region.

NSW Sport and Tourism Minister Steve Kamper said the partnership with Helloworld Travel strengthens the vision of creating a major sport and entertainment destination in western Sydney. With construction of the new Western Sydney Airport also nearing completion, the government believes the stadium will help position Penrith as an important destination for visitors and major events.

Local Member for Penrith Karen McKeown said the redevelopment represents a significant investment in the local community, delivering a modern, family-friendly venue while supporting jobs, tourism and economic growth across the region.

Helloworld Travel chief executive Andrew Burnes said the company was excited to partner with Venues NSW and be part of the next chapter for sport and entertainment in Penrith, describing the stadium as a place that will create lasting memories for fans and families.

The new venue will replace the original Penrith Park, which opened in 1967 and has served as the Panthers’ home ground for nearly six decades.
