According to data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), an increase was observed in the inventories of major steel enterprises as of early June 2026.

The data showed that total steel stocks of large steel enterprises reached 16.87 million tons. Stocks increased by 1.04 million tons or %6.6 compared to the previous ten-day period.

It was stated that steel stocks increased by 2.73 million tons or %19.3 compared to the beginning of the year, while they decreased by 10,000 tons or %0.1 compared to the same ten-day period of the previous month.

Compared to the same period last year, stock levels increased by 1.08 million tons or %6.8, and also increased by 780,000 tons or %4.8 compared to the same period two years ago.
