SteelJSW Steel reported a strong financial performance in the June quarter, with consolidated net profit more than doubling year-on-year to ₹4,696 crore. The result surpassed market expectations, supported by higher steel prices, improved sales volumes and lower finance costs.Consolidated revenue from operations increased nearly 10% to ₹47,364 crore. Steel sales volumes grew 4% to 6.25 million tonnes during the quarter, strengthening the company’s topline performance.
Total expenses rose by less than 4% to ₹41,830 crore, while finance costs declined nearly 23% to ₹1,712 crore. This helped consolidated EBITDA climb 38% year-on-year to ₹9,383 crore. EBITDA per tonne also improved 23% to ₹14,990.
JSW Steel further strengthened its balance sheet by reducing consolidated net debt from ₹53,870 crore in the previous quarter to ₹46,157 crore. Its net debt-to-equity ratio improved to 0.42 from 0.51, reflecting better financial stability.
