steelJSW Steel posted combined crude steel production of 30.14 million tonnes in FY26, marking an 8% year-on-year increase and reinforcing its position among India’s leading steelmakers. Fourth-quarter output stood at 7.49 million tonnes, with trial-run volumes included in both quarterly and annual figures. Indian operations contributed 29.25 million tonnes, while JSW Steel USA added 0.83 million tonnes. The company also benefited from capacity additions at its Salem unit, where a caster upgrade, new ladle furnace and vacuum degasser lifted capacity to 1.15 million tonnes per annum from March 2026. Even with Blast Furnace-3 at Vijayanagar under shutdown for expansion since late September 2025, JSW maintained solid operating momentum. The update highlights the company’s ongoing focus on capacity growth, technology upgrades and stronger long-term steel production performance.
