Kolkata-based Ramkrishna Forgings Limited (RKFL) is set to double its steel casting capacity to 1,20,000 tonnes per year by 2025, expanding its footprint across multiple industries. The company currently operates with an annual capacity of 60,000 tonnes across 16 plants in Jharkhand and aims to achieve its target through strategic investments and acquisitions.
RKFL, which began exporting in 2010, now generates 60% of its revenue from international sales, with North America being its largest market. Its global client base includes Volvo, Mack Trucks, Iveco, DAF, Scania, MAN, UD Trucks, and Ford Otosan. The company has also expanded its product portfolio from 35 to 69 categories and diversified from two to five verticals.
In a significant development, RKFL recently secured a contract with a major US-based EV manufacturer, reinforcing India's role in the global supply chain amid the shift towards the 'China plus one' strategy.
