Ultratech Expands Cement Capacity In Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, And Maharashtra.

UltraTech Cement, a part of the Aditya Birla Group, has expanded its production capacity by commissioning two new cement mills at its Maihar plant in Madhya Pradesh. One mill has a capacity of 3.35 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), while the other, with a capacity of 2.7 mtpa, is set to be operational in the June quarter.

In Maharashtra, the company has completed a brownfield expansion of its grinding unit in Dhule, adding 1.2 mtpa capacity. Similarly, in West Bengal, it has commissioned a brownfield expansion of a grinding unit at Durgapur with a capacity of 0.60 mtpa.

UltraTech has also expanded its logistics network with the inauguration of a new bulk terminal in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. With a capacity of 1.8 mtpa, this marks the company’s first bulk terminal in the state, enhancing its distribution capabilities in the region.

With these latest capacity additions, UltraTech’s total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity has risen to 183.36 mtpa. Including its overseas operations, which have a capacity of 5.4 mtpa, the company’s global cement production capacity now stands at 188.76 mtpa.
