MINNEAPOLIS, May 19, 2026 — GateKeeper Systems Inc., a provider of commercial vehicle management, airfield inspection, and transportation network company management systems for airports, today announced the successful implementation of its GateKeeper CVMS ground transportation management system at Ontario International Airport.

The deployment represents an important step in ONT’s efforts to modernize and optimize its ground transportation operations. Built on the core GateKeeper CVMS platform currently used by airports of all sizes around the world, and implemented in partnership with TransCore, ONT’s GTMS features an advanced integration of both RFID and license plate recognition (LPR)-based vehicle tracking technologies.

By combining both tracking methods at key read points throughout the airport, GateKeeper CVMS helps ensure that all commercial vehicle activity is captured — even when an RFID transponder is missing or a license plate is partially obscured. This dual-technology approach gives ONT greater visibility into ground transportation activity while helping maximize operational and revenue performance.

The completed system also includes a fully integrated, PCI-compliant financial module from AdComp Systems, which streamlines revenue capture, invoicing, and balance tracking. Commercial vehicle operators can securely view account balances and make payments directly to the airport, helping reduce administrative workload for ONT staff while supporting more efficient revenue collection.

“The GateKeeper system has been a valuable addition to the Ground Transportation operation at ONT,” said Ground Transportation Manager Krista McLain. “We have received positive feedback from GT vendors, particularly regarding the financial module, which allows them to conveniently pay trip fees via credit card rather than having to physically visit an office to purchase paper trip tickets. This has not only improved convenience for the vendors but has also increased operational efficiency.”

“From the airport’s perspective,” she added, “we previously relied heavily on the honor system for TCP trip fee collection, which was not an efficient or reliable method for managing revenue. The implementation of GateKeeper CVMS has significantly improved accountability and has helped the airport recover previously uncollected TCP revenue.”

“This implementation provides ONT with the tools needed to optimize ground transportation operations through improved vehicle tracking and increased revenue potential,” said Margaret Jones, Project Manager at GateKeeper Systems. “The project’s success reflects the strong collaboration between the ONT and GateKeeper teams.”

“We are proud to partner with Ontario International Airport in delivering a modern, data-driven ground transportation management solution that improves operational visibility, accountability, and revenue performance,” said Brian Richardson, President of GateKeeper Systems. “This deployment reflects our continued commitment to helping airports leverage innovative technology to create more efficient and sustainable transportation operations while enhancing the experience for both airport staff and commercial operators.”
