FL Technics has strengthened its component support capabilities in the Middle East after announcing the opening of a new parts warehouse in Dubai.

The Lithuania-based MRO provider says it chose the new location near Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) to enable fast delivery of critical parts to customers in both the Middle East and Africa, reducing lead times and improving operational reliability.

The Dubai warehouse will primarily store critical rotable components for aircraft. FL Technics says having a Dubai location will help local operators reduce delivery times, minimize aircraft-on-ground situations and maintain operational continuity. FL Technics says expanding its Dubai presence is part of a broader strategy to grow in the Middle East.

Previously, components for the region were shipped from FL Technics’ global logistics hubs in Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America, located in Vilnius, Kaunas, Frankfurt, Singapore and Miami. The company says that growing demand in the Middle East highlighted the need for a dedicated local stock point.

DWC is undergoing a $35 billion expansion to grow fivefold and eventually replace Dubai International Airport, currently the city’s main airport. Expanding DWC will be conducted in stages over several decades, with the first phase scheduled for completion in 2032. This will include the construction of a new terminal with a capacity of 150 million passengers annually, a second runway and additional infrastructure.
