HEIDELBERG Materials UK will restart supply of premium-grade limestone and a wide range of aggregates from their Station Road, Fareham depot from 10 February 2026.
The move marks the company’s return to directly serving the Hampshire market and forms part of its strategy to fully utilize rail-connected depots, reducing vehicle movements and associated CO₂ emissions. The depot will source limestone from the company’s Whatley Quarry in the Mendips and handle around 150,000 tonnes annually, rising to 200,000 tonnes over the next three years.
Vincent Pitt, area manager Mendips and Masters at Heidelberg Materials UK, said: ‘We are excited to be returning to our Fareham depot. We see resuming direct supply to the area as a real vote of confidence in the future of the Hampshire market, and we look forward to developing relationships with existing customers as well as developing new ones.’
Jim Pearce, strategic and commercial excellence manager at Heidelberg Materials UK, added: ‘Our Fareham depot, located close to the A27, is well-placed to service many of the major schemes currently underway or about to start in the region as well as smaller-scale projects in Southampton and Portsmouth.’
