SIBELCO have been awarded a Gold Sustainability Rating by EcoVadis in 2026, marking a significant step forward in their sustainability journey. With an overall score of 81/100, placing them in the 96th percentile, this achievement positions Sibelco among the top 5% of companies globally assessed by EcoVadis, as well as the top 2% within the mining and quarrying sector.
EcoVadis is a globally recognized, independent sustainability assessment platform that evaluates companies across four core themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Sustainable Procurement, and Ethics.

Sibelco say achieving a Gold rating required extensive preparation and close collaboration across the organization. Teams from sustainability, health and safety, human resources, legal, and procurement worked together to provide detailed, transparent, and verifiable information to support the assessment.
‘Sibelco’s EcoVadis Gold rating is a powerful recognition of the collective effort across the company. It confirms that sustainability is not only truly integrated into our operations, it is the way we do business,’ said Nick Traber, executive vice-president APAC at Sibelco.
As sustainability performance becomes increasingly important for customers, partners, and stakeholders, EcoVadis ratings are playing a growing role in value chain transparency, and
