Shuka Minerals Plc has reported encouraging field sampling results from its Kabwe Zinc Mine, highlighting the presence of high-grade mineralisation at the surface.

Handheld XRF testing returned zinc grades of up to 36.13% and lead grades reaching 9.63%, with tungsten mineralisation also identified. The results compare favourably with historical averages from the project, reinforcing confidence in the quality and continuity of high-grade material.

Samples will now be submitted to ALS Laboratories for independent verification and broader multi-element analysis.

The update comes as the company advances its exploration programme following a recent capital raise and completion of its acquisition, positioning Kabwe for further systematic development.

CEO Richard Lloyd commented: “It is really encouraging to realise such high-grade results and at surface. Whilst we are planning for deeper drilling, the Shuka team has realised there is significant material remaining at surface and we will be able to use this material to analyse the metallurgical characteristics of the ore body, which will assist us in consideration of plant designs whilst also advancing our resource statements.

“The planned exploration programme is now underway following our capital raise and completion of the Kabwe acquisition earlier this quarter. I look forward to providing further information on the programme and subsequent results as we ramp up activity at site.”
