Eaton Corp has announced a major investment exceeding $30 million to expand its manufacturing footprint in Nebraska, USA. The company plans to construct a new 370,000-square-foot facility in Bellevue, specifically designed to produce medium-voltage (MV) switchgear products. This move is a strategic response to the surging demand from the data centre sector, which continues to require robust power management and distribution solutions.

The new facility is scheduled to open in the first half of 2027. It will consolidate Eaton’s Omaha-area operations, with existing employees from central Omaha transferring to the new site. Furthermore, the expansion is expected to create 200 additional roles across engineering, manufacturing, and production. Mike Yelton, Eaton’s electrical sector president, described the move as part of the company’s “bold investments” to drive growth in US manufacturing.
