EDP Renewables North America LLC has commenced commercial operations at the Riverstart Solar IV project in Indiana. Located in Randolph county, the project has an installed capacity of 150 MW. It is expected to generate electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 28,800 homes and businesses in the state.
The project has delivered an estimated $88.6 million in local and regional economic impact. This includes about $51.4 million directed toward public services and infrastructure such as schools, roads, emergency services, equipment, and parks. Additionally, around $35 million has been allocated as payments to local landowners, while approximately $2.2 million has been spent within the region. With the completion of this project, the company now operates 2 GW gross of domestically-sourced energy in Indiana.
In October 2025, EDP Renewables North America completed the 180 MW Azalea Springs solar project in Angelina County, Texas The project is expected to generate enough electricity to power over 27,800 average Texas homes annually. Additionally, the project has delivered more than $75 million in local and regional economic impact.
