Croatia / Sweden: KONČAR has signed a contract with the Swedish transmission system operator Svenska Kraftnät for the construction of a new transformer substation, CT186 Munga. The contract is valued at $28 M (€24 M, SEK 257.8 M), excluding VAT.

The Munga project marks the first greenfield 400 kV substation awarded to KONČAR in Sweden. In terms of value, it is also the company’s largest single contract in the transformer substation construction segment.

The agreement covers a turnkey delivery, including the full execution of the project from initial stages through to commissioning.

KONČAR noted that it has been active in the Swedish market for several years, primarily through the supply of transformers and participation in projects involving the construction and modernisation of transformer substations.
