Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) auction to set up 1,200 MW of wind power projects across India under Tranche XIX has attracted an L1 tariff of INR 3.67/kWh.
KP Energy, Ganeko Three Energy (Zelestra India), Waaree Forever Energies (Waaree Group), Opera Energy, Purvah Green Power, Vena Energy Aura (Vena Energy) and Refex Holding have emerged as winners.
KP Energy emerged as the L1 bidder quoting a tariff of INR 3.67/kWh and bagged a capacity of 100 MW.
Waaree Forever Energies, Ganeko Three Energy and Opera Energy won 300 MW, 180 MW and 50 MW, respectively, at a tariff of INR 3.68/kWh.
Purvah Green Power and Vena Energy Aura were awarded 250 MW and 124 MW, respectively, at a tariff of INR 3.69/kWh.
Refex Holding secured 196 MW out of the quoted 600 MW at a tariff of INR 3.69/kWh, under the bucket-filling method.
The tender for this was floated in October 2025 with an initial capacity of 600 MW, with an option to expand capacity by an additional 300 MW. In December 2025, the capacity was increased to 1,200 MW.
Selected bidders will be signing a power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI for a period of 25 years.
Identification of land, installation and ownership of the project, along with obtaining connectivity and necessary approvals and interconnection with the ISTS network/STU or InSTS network for supply of power to SECI, will be under the scope of the wind power developer (WPD).
The tender proposed to promote only commercially established and operational technologies to minimise the technology risk and to achieve the timely commencement of power supply from the projects.
The declared/revised annual CUF must not be less than 22 percent.
The projects must use type-certified wind turbine models listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (Wind). Further, WPD must install and maintain GPS enabled Automatic Weather Station (AWS).
