Nextpower Arabia, a joint venture (JV) between Nextpower and Abunayyan Holding, will supply 2.25 GWp of solar tracking systems to Larsen & Toubro for the Bisha solar project in Saudi Arabia. The project is being developed by an ACWA Power-led consortium and was procured by the Saudi Power Procurement Company under Wave 6 of the National Renewable Energy Program administered by the Ministry of Energy. The Bisha project is located in the Asir Province and is the largest project awarded under the Wave 6 round.
The solar tracking systems to be supplied are part of Nextpower’s NX Horizon platform, which has been deployed across more than 150 GW of projects globally. Moreover, the supply will be supported through localised sales, manufacturing, delivery, and supply chain operations established by Nextpower Arabia. Furthermore, this order reportedly marks the first major project execution by the Nextpower Arabia JV, which is now fully operational.
In January 2026, Nextpower and Abunayyan Holding completed the incorporation of Nextpower Arabia JV. The partners also advanced plans for a 42,000 square metre manufacturing facility currently under-construction in Jeddah to supply solar tracking systems, yield management solutions, and control technologies. The facility is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2026, with a projected manufacturing capacity of up to 12 GW annually. Additionally, the JV is planned to be funded with around $88 million through a mix of equity and public and private debt over the next two years.
