Power PlantNuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), both under the Department of Atomic Energy, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen indigenous technology development for India’s nuclear power programme. The MoU establishes a long-term technology partnership for the development of indigenous control and instrumentation systems, computer-based systems, nuclear instrumentation, training simulators, cybersecurity solutions and other advanced technologies.
The collaboration aims to provide long-term lifecycle support for operating reactors. It will also address technology obsolescence, improve standardisation of critical systems, and support timely deployment of reliable and secure technologies for existing and future nuclear power projects.
