The Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) has notified the “Procedure for Grant of Connectivity to the Intra State Transmission System”.
The procedure will apply to connectivity applications at 33 kV and above covering state and central generating companies, independent power producers, renewable energy projects, and energy storage systems. Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited has been designated as the nodal agency for processing applications and granting connectivity. Under the framework, applicants will pay non refundable processing fees ranging from about Rs 100,000 to Rs 900,000 depending on capacity and category. For renewable energy projects, grid connectivity charges have been fixed at Rs 250,000 per MW aligned with the 2020 regulations while non renewable applicants will pay the actual cost of the transmission bay developed for connectivity.
