Queensland’s position at the forefront of Australia’s clean energy transition will be on full display when Solar & Storage Live Queensland returns to Brisbane in March 2026. As Australia’s most comprehensive solar energy and electric vehicle (EV) charging conference, this event brings together the technologies, policy settings and industry leaders shaping the next phase of solar, storage and electrification.

The state already boasts the highest rooftop solar penetration in the country, with around 42 per cent of homes hosting photovoltaic (PV) systems. That momentum is accelerating as Queensland works towards its legislated target of 80 per cent renewable electricity by 2035, supported by rapid growth in battery storage, EV charging infrastructure and emerging applications such as agrivoltaics.

Battery installations alone are forecast to grow by more than 400 per cent by 2026, creating new opportunities across residential, commercial and utility-scale markets. Combined with major grid upgrades under the Rewiring the Nation program, Commonwealth backing through the Capacity Investment Scheme, and targeted initiatives such as the $1 billion Solar Sunshot program and $2.3 billion Cheaper Home Batteries package, the policy and investment landscape is providing rare certainty for industry.

Against that backdrop, Solar & Storage Live Queensland will take place on 18-19 March 2026 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, positioning the event as a practical forum for installers, developers, manufacturers, policymakers and investors navigating the next wave of deployment.

The conference program will feature more than 120 speakers across multiple stages, covering large-scale utility solar, commercial and industrial (C&I) systems, residential solar and batteries, EV charging, and storage integration. Dedicated streams will explore issues ranging from grid constraints and project financing at utility scale, through to emissions reporting, PPAs and agrivoltaics for C&I customers, and best-practice battery installation and compliance in the residential sector.

Storage will be a major focus, with sessions examining Queensland’s state-led battery programs, private investment pipelines, and the role of next-generation chemistries in improving grid resilience and flexibility. EV charging will also feature prominently, including fleet electrification, vehicle-to-grid applications and the infrastructure required to support mass adoption.

Alongside the conference, the exhibition floor will showcase the latest products and solutions across solar, storage and electrification, providing hands-on access to technologies entering the Australian market.

For installers, professional development will be a key drawcard. The Master Electricians Australia Installer Training Hub will offer targeted training across solar PV, mounting systems, inverters, battery storage and EV chargers, enabling participants to earn more than 100 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points while sharpening their technical skills.

With registration free of charge, Solar & Storage Live Queensland is set to be a focal point for the partnerships and practical knowledge driving Australia’s clean energy build-out, and a timely snapshot of where the market is heading next.
