railwayAccording to its own statements, Infrakos has assumed full control over train stations and railway properties in northern Kosovo. The infrastructure operator reports that it has installed signage and official markings at the stations in Zvecan, Leposavić, Lesak and Slatina. In doing so, Infrakos has brought the facilities under a unified legal and operational authority and laid the groundwork for detailed project planning. The network operator has assigned the section to Corridor X, which connects the network via North Macedonia and other international corridors. The move was supported by Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s government, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, as well as the police. Infrakos described the takeover as a prerequisite for the renovation of the line, its future use for rail freight transport and its greater integration into the network.
