Voestalpine Railway Systems has secured contracts from German state railway DB and Swiss state railway SBB to supply infrastructure components worth a total of EUR 500 million. In Germany, the contracts cover the supply of rails and switch components for projects such as the modernisation of Frankfurt Central Station and the Hamburg – Berlin high-speed rail (HSR) corridor. In Switzerland, Voestalpine has signed a framework agreement with SBB for the supply of axle counting systems with a term of up to 20 years. In addition, a service contract has been agreed for a maintenance and diagnostics system as well as for cybersecurity solutions.
