Travellers heading to Delhi and across several other major highways in India will face increased toll expenses starting April 1st, following a notification from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to revise toll rates.

The NHAI has announced a toll hike ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 15 for cars, jeeps, and vans at the Gharaunda (Karnal) and Ghaggar (Ambala) toll plazas. Heavy vehicle toll pass fees have seen a more substantial increase, rising by over Rs 750, reaching Rs 1000.

The NHAI’s decision to increase toll rates across various highways is expected to impact travel costs for both private and commercial vehicle users. The increased toll charges will apply to many travelling towards the capital city of Delhi.
