The initial deadline for submission of tender was 11.59pm on 5 May 2026 - this has now been further extended to 12:00pm on 18 May 2026.

Interested suppliers are being invited to propose a solution that is capable of delivering a modern, integrated network and voice solution that meets the utilities' core connectivity requirements and ensures comprehensive Local Area Network (LAN) support, whilst also suggesting alternative options to enable diverse network connectivity.

Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2031 with a further possible extension option of up to 31 October 2034.

The contract is being tendered in the following Lots:

Description - requirement for a modern, resilient and scalable WAN that supports IT, OT and CNI operations across a diverse estate.

Description – requirement of a modern, resilient voice services that integrate cleanly with the future WAN and SD-WAN estate and support on-premises, cloud and hybrid deployment patterns.

Description – requirement for a consolidated and proactive LAN support service capable of maintaining a stable, secure and compliant estate across IT sites, OT/CNI sites are not in scope of for this contract. The successful bidder will assume responsibility for stabilising and maintaining the existing LAN hardware, providing break/fix support, controlled replacement, configuration governance and lifecycle management. Contract awards made under the framework will either be with or without competition.
