powerplantThe Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India, has invited bids to develop a 25 MW solar power project for Bharat Coking Coal at the Dugdha Coal Washery in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
The successful bidder will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the project for ten years.
The last date to submit bids is April 29, 2026. Bids will be opened the following day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹5 million (~$52,985).
The project must be completed within one year of the contract award.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹1.55 billion (~$16.43 million).
Bidders must have completed three similar works, each costing not less than 20% of the estimated cost of the project, or two similar works, each costing not less than 25% of the estimated cost, or one similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of the estimated cost of the project.
The average annual financial turnover of bidders during the last three years should be at least 30% of the estimated cost put to tender.
The net worth of bidders should be at least 10% of the estimated project cost.
Preference will be given to Class I and Class II local suppliers. To be classified as a Class I local supplier, the local content should be at least 50%; for a Class II local supplier, it should be between 20% and 50%.
The solar modules to be used in the project should be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List I, and solar cells should be from ALMM List II.
Last November, CMPDI issued a tender to set up 1.55 MW of grid-connected solar projects in the Central Coalfields project areas in Jharkhand.
Earlier, CMPDI invited bids to implement a grid-connected 1.3 MW rooftop solar power project for Northern Coalfields.
