Singa Renewables Pte. Limited, a joint venture between TotalEnergies SE and Royal Golden Eagle Pte. Limited has received a conditional license from Singapore’s energy market authority to import 1 GW of renewable electricity from Indonesia.
The project involves the development of a hybrid renewable energy facility in Indonesia’s Riau Province, comprising a solar farm, battery energy storage system, and a subsea interconnector for electricity transmission to Singapore. The joint venture has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore Energy Interconnections Pte. Limited to jointly develop the subsea cable infrastructure. The project will supply clean firm power to high-demand consumers in Singapore and to industrial facilities near the Riau solar installation.
