Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, will develop a 10 GW  ingot and wafer manufacturing facility. The facility will be developed at the IFFCO Kisan Special Economic Zone in Andhra Pradesh, where the state government has allocated 200 acres for the project, including 120 acres for the initial phase and 80 acres reserved for future expansion.

Furthermore, the facility has received clearance from the State Investment Promotion Board. It represents an investment of Rs 66.75 billion and is expected to generate approximately 1,000 direct jobs. 

Earlier this month, TPREL commissioned SJVN Limited’s 1 GW domestic content requirement-compliant solar power project situated in Rajasthan. 

Furthermore, in December 2025, TPREL inked a MoU with UCO Bank for the acceleration of rooftop solar solutions adoption in India.
