Strong Academic and Professional Foundation:
A native of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Shri Pandey completed his B.E. in Electronics from Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College. He further strengthened his technical expertise with an M.Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
He began his railway career as an Assistant Signal and Telecom Engineer in Barauni, steadily rising through the ranks due to his technical acumen and administrative capabilities.

During his tenure as DRM, he played a pivotal role in the completion of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor under the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India, boosting freight efficiency and easing congestion on passenger routes.
He has also been instrumental in advancing Kavach, India’s indigenous Automatic Train Protection system, developed by Indian Railways. As Additional Member (Signal) at the Railway Board, he supervised the installation of Kavach over a 400-kilometre stretch, significantly strengthening operational safety and preventing potential collisions.
